I recently met a friend who's married for about a year. He was a little drunk, but I believe he's not the type to blubber around (it'll take about 5 bottles of XO to get him drunk). Still keeping his sane, he held my shoulder and said:
Friend: "You're lucky you're still single."
Me: "Apasal man?"
Friend: "Nah, a little susah ler when you got married. You need to bring your wife along."
Me: "It's good mar to have someone beside."
Friend: "Bah, even having a girlfriend is a hassle."
Me: "That bad meh?"
Friend: "Man, when I was your age, I wish I could get married. But after got married, I wish I was single again."
Me: "Hmm, why you want to do that? You got a beautiful wife. She's a nice person..."
Friend: "That's not important man, just that somehow being singles has it's benefits..."
Me: "Like?"
Friend: "You have the freedom man. You have the freedom that we cannot obtain."
Me: "Now you're just being silly."
Friend: "Silly, eh? Ah, let's stop this conversation man. This is getting nowhere..."
Aiyo, why lar this thing happened? This guy has a perfect marriage, he never have problems with the wife, and the wife loves him so but yet he felt unhappy. I really cannot understand him. If just the
other friend would do anything to get his life...
