My words are my thoughts and I'm a pessimist person who just thinks that Murphy's Law is what defines me. I believe that anything bad that has ever happened will continue to do so. So, if anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway...

It looks like a bunch of garbled text, huh? Well, you can actually learn how to decode using by reading this post.

 Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

Just played Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and I've got only one good comment: F**k!

I've been a loyal supporter of Prince of Persia since Jordan Mechner came by and developed it for the PC numerous years ago. He then came out with Prince of Persia 2 which we all cherished greatly when it was released. Then, those idiots released Prince of Persia 3D, which is an embarrassment to the whole gaming community.

However, when Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was released, I remained skeptical whether this will make it as a good game. Some of you might have read my post in regards of the issue and I'd say that it was a really good game transitioning from the 2D platform to a 3D adventure. Not only it has immersed players with terrific game play and graphics but somehow it has lived up to the name because the production involved Jordan Mechner.

Now, they released a sequel and it gave me a good impression for the first 5 minutes. Further into the game has revealed that there are some invisible stone that will block your path. Okay, that is still forgivable because the graphics are so stunning. They've even got a bug with some slowdown issue but it's still okay on my page. The breaking point was when I defeated the boss (Empress of Time) for the first time and the darn game kicked me to the beginning of the game with no way of leaving the map.

I did a checkup on the forums and found that many people have reported the same bug and I was quite lucky as I didn't encounter a majority of them. Some of the worse scenario was when the player saved at a point will get turned into a different character when the game is loaded. Others will get the player stuck with no way of getting back. Too bad the game developer has used the same engine to power the game with no consent of smoking out the bugs.

After I went through all the complains in the forum, I think I would lay off the game for a while. They said that Ubisoft (game publisher) will release a patch for the PC version. I mean OF COURSE they will release a patch for the PC version, how the hell they're going to patch a Playstation 2 version? Jeeze, I was left thinking to those owners who bought the original Prince of Persia: Warrior Within for the PS2, XBox or even Gamecube. How they're going to receive a patch for such a great potential game?

So for you out there in Malaysia thinking of buying the console game. DON'T! Get the PC version instead; at least you'll have a chance to get to patch the damn game!

You are not alone... I was having the same problem, damn fustrated, after all the fights and end up in such situation. geez....

I didn't encounter invisible stone, but I do encounter invisible giants. But I encounter many more glitches.

- The door to fight Empress is opened, but if you saved the game right after entering the Giant Hourglass room, the door will no longer opened.
