My words are my thoughts and I'm a pessimist person who just thinks that Murphy's Law is what defines me. I believe that anything bad that has ever happened will continue to do so. So, if anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway...

It looks like a bunch of garbled text, huh? Well, you can actually learn how to decode using by reading this post.

If you hate challenges, you might want to try jlys@[remove-this]tm.net.my but I only used this sparingly as it's the primary target for junk mails.

 My Accident

The above picture happened on a one lane street.

Recently on 27th October I involved in a minor accident in my company. As I was moving along the road, a car came out of the junction but I'm unable to break in time. I knocked the car and there was a minor accident. My right signal light broke and bumper is a little scratched. The victim, a woman in her 30s, suffered no problem. We can't stop to assess the damage as she's heading for lunch and there were cars coming in.

However the next day I got a gout attack and was unable to get to the office. When I got back to the office on 1st November, I called her up about the accident. And guess what, she jumped to an immediate conclusion that I was on the wrong side and I must somehow compensate her for the damage. She even ramble that her husband took it for the workshop and it cost about RM 100 - 200. I was surprised at the analogy that she has just made. I told her that running out from a junction is already her mistake but guess what she said:

"I braked for you! You should have braked for me!"

I told her where's the logic in that? I have priority on the road and she has no say and keep persisted that that's my mistake. She then went:

"Did you realize the car direction running is the opposite?" (She’s trying to discredit my by telling me I’m running against the traffic)

I told her that 1) the direction I’m driving is correct but 2) even if it's the opposite direction and if I do crash on an incoming head on car, then I'll admit my mistake. We're looking at a totally a different case. She just has no right to jump to the junction. Finally she has given up and said:

"In that case, just forget it."

Told everything to Fuminari and he said: "You're just too soft. If it were for me, I'll say: [How dare you say forget it? I'm the one that should say that!]"

I was thinking the woman is trying very hard to defend herself. And I was not even attacking her! I called just to acknowledge about the accident and didn't even want to ask her for compensation. I guess it goes: Siapa yang makan cili, dia yang merasa pedas1.

Oh yea, can you leave your comment, let's see what you guys think of this situation...

1 A Malay language translate to something like this: You'll feel the guilt if you have made the mistake.

I think you are in a tricky position especially if the other party is working in the same place as you.

Yea, and we're ready for the woman or her husband if they do want to come for a second round...
