Was getting pissed recently that the Internet Explorer start to give problem after a while of usage. One of the illustrated colleague, that introduced me to the Linux world, pointed me to
Firefox. At first I was skeptical about the software, but after the small software (4.7 MB) downloaded and installed the machine, I was surprised at the speed.
The majority of the webpage I visited can be displayed correctly, therefore making this my official web browser for the moment. Will still keep Internet Explorer around, but it will eventually be replaced by Firefox.
One great feature is that the webpage will be loaded quickly and without any hassle. It will put in all the text first followed by images that will be downloaded one by one. With Streamyx, you can feel that it is way faster than normal IE. Still not sure how dialup will fare but I think the caching is smart enough to work at the backend.
Okay, will continue to surf the net...
