My words are my thoughts and I'm a pessimist person who just thinks that Murphy's Law is what defines me. I believe that anything bad that has ever happened will continue to do so. So, if anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway...

It looks like a bunch of garbled text, huh? Well, you can actually learn how to decode using by reading this post.

If you hate challenges, you might want to try jlys@[remove-this]tm.net.my but I only used this sparingly as it's the primary target for junk mails.

We Need To Maintain Ground Control!

Captain Angelus has led us to this part of the ruined city. It was Lisa's birthday today. While we're holding ground, I took the picture out and stared at her lovely face. Suddenly there was a firm pat on my shoulder. I looked up, it was Captain Angelus.

"Be brave soldier," he said in his British accent. "We're expecting the Terrans anytime soon"

He smiled and left. That's usually how he inspired his men. I kept the picture and rose up to take my position. From far we can see dust piled up as if the Romans come to invade us. According to Patterson, the Terrans are bearing tanks against us. A few minutes later, Sergeant Rho already radioed in that the tanks are escorted by Imperial Legionnaires.

"Lieutenant Lee, get your men to prepare anti-tanks..." the Captain radioed in. Every one of us un-slung the anti-armour weapon and prepared for the tank. Right at the front lines, we can see the Siege Soldier powering up their miniguns and their suit. We don't have their capabilities so all of the assault teams have to take cover in the ruins.

"INCOMING!!!" I heard someone shouted.

There was a loud explosion and before the dust settled, we returned fire. Patterson was lying dead by my side while Mitchell & Regis were pouring all they got. I take a peek out and found most of the Siege Soldiers were slaughtered. Blood and violence were everywhere. And the Legionnaires start to pour into the battleground like ants. Other teams switched to tackling the infantries while I instructed my men to target at the tanks.

I reloaded my weapon and fired at the tank. To my dismay, it missed the target and hit some hapless Legionnaires. Tough luck on us now as six tanks are coming in fast!

Suddenly out on top of the sky, there was salvation. I saw a dropship came landed right behind us. Eight shiny Fortress Teradynes rolled out from the dropship and started hammering the attack force. Wave by wave the enemy tried to swarm the tanks, but we picked them off one by one.

It was tough but the tanks are holding and the enemies are all but defeated. Engineering trucks begin repairing while all of us sat by the Sick Bay. As I rest, the medics brought Patterson's body down to the morgue. I felt bad. I have no idea of telling the widow of her husband's death.

From far, I can see the Captain still making plans to push the enemy out of the border. I wondered what his next plan is. The doctor already bandaged my wound. I picked up my weapon and head back to the bunker. I'm dead tired and tomorrow would be another story...

Check Ground Control 2 for more swirling actions in resourceless RTS game.
