My words are my thoughts and I'm a pessimist person who just thinks that Murphy's Law is what defines me. I believe that anything bad that has ever happened will continue to do so. So, if anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway...

It looks like a bunch of garbled text, huh? Well, you can actually learn how to decode using by reading this post.

If you hate challenges, you might want to try jlys@[remove-this]tm.net.my but I only used this sparingly as it's the primary target for junk mails.

 Joining The Domain

Well, it's now middle of the week, our IT guy finally come around to configure my notebook to join domain1. It went well, the fella took nearly about 2 hours just to go through my security configuration! And after he joined domain, he forgot to put my name under the administration group. I called them up but they said the ticket has already been closed and if I need their help again, I have to log in another call.

Now you'll understand why we call them the IT monkeys!

I don't need their help. I just pop over to NT Offline Password to get the latest Linux bootdisk to reset the administrator password. And guess what? The website was banned! It was listed as CRIMINAL! I guess true to their modus-operandi: "If you cannot control it, ban it". Luckily I have one old copy of the software.

Load it up, reset the password, add my name to the administrative group and it took me less than 2 minutes.

1 Domain is a security network within our network to give priviledged access so that we have greater access to our network resources.
