My words are my thoughts and I'm a pessimist person who just thinks that Murphy's Law is what defines me. I believe that anything bad that has ever happened will continue to do so. So, if anything just cannot go wrong, it will anyway...

It looks like a bunch of garbled text, huh? Well, you can actually learn how to decode using by reading this post.

If you hate challenges, you might want to try jlys@[remove-this]tm.net.my but I only used this sparingly as it's the primary target for junk mails.

 Monday Blues

*sigh* One of the day where you really hate. Hate coming to work. Hate the jam. Hate everything. However, there a couple of things I like, I like the weather, I like the environment and of course, the skies. Back to the hate.

Hate the traffic:
  • Why can't these JKR1 imbecile see that it is wrong to build road when there's a mass traffic going on? They have to tar the road in the morning WHEN EVERYONE'S GOING TO WORK! Not only that, they seem to have inability to do it nocturally. These people deserved to be buried, head out and let the traffic bump through them.
  • When are these heavy duty lorries/crane/tractor/lifter are going to learn to drive OUT OF RUSH HOUR? They will take their own sweet time and when they are fully loaded, they will be the one taking the slow ride while we at the back are cursing why there's jam in the front. And they never seem to realize that THEY ARE SLOW and cause a thing called TRAFFIC JAM! Let's see how they feel if they were tied to the tyre of a tractor that travels from Penang all the way to Singapore.
  • Some slow coach driver slowly take their own sweet time, never realize what's happening to the rest of the world. My advice. Do not drive during 7am-9am & 5pm-7pm from Monday to Friday. If you insist on that, I implore you to take a job, then try to attend them during rush hour for the next 3 years. If you still have the patience, my hats off to you.

Hate the work:
  • Lots of call will come in during Monday? Why must customer faced the problem during Saturday or Sunday and then get desperate and calls us by the volume by Monday? You have this thing called 'internet' and we have this thing called 'support website'. I presume NONE of them will ever read this blog to understand. Heck, we even advertise in our phone messaging, but how much of them go to the website? Theese people ought to be shot during their lunch time.
  • Database went DOA2. A call came in, a shouting desperate no brainer with a lack of caffeine customer calls in with problem. And when checking through the thing, the database went dead! WHAT THE HELL? We're one of the most premier support in the computer industry and we get a stupid database that went down? Like I said, IT monkeys are all there is in our backbone support group. And if they cannot solve the problem, they place a blame on everyone, especially the support department for spreading virus, non-compliance act, etc. Wish I could smash their heads repeatedly into the server fan, monitors or anything that has to do with the server.
  • All the workload piled up on Monday morning. Always the same case each week. These are usually caused by people from other department failing to do their job properly. They should be executed as well, by hanging them on the employee's entrance with the writing over their body: "I'm a stupid person who caused other people grief over my inability to work properly."
I guess Garfield's right. Monday is a very bad day of the week...

1 JKR - Jabatan Kerja Raya: Department of Work Road - Malaysia's finest work road team that will be doing road construction in an inapproriate time.

2 DOA - Dead On Arrival: Signifies a system working suddenly went dead. Used a lot by ER in United States but in Malaysia, usually used to indicate that a computer system suddenly went dead.
