Yes! After I've been configuring Fedora Core 3
like mad, finally I managed to resolved many of it's dependencies
1. However after managing the wireless to connect properly through our internal PPTP network, I still cannot get some packet to get to my computer.
*sigh* I was thinking what's wrong with the unit.
Ms. Ong/Mrs. Khoo had a different idea of running Linux. Apparently he liked something simple and has much more tools to run, so he opted to get
Mandrake Linux running on his notebook. I don't know why but somehow I prefer
Fedora Linux all the way since
Red Hat made the inception.
I do admit Mandrake Linux has easy to use RPM and if a users of Mandrake went through what I went, most probably they'd be spared of the agonizing headache of installing dependencies. However, what's the fun of running Linux when everything is presented to you?
1 Dependencies are Linux's answer to DLL files. You see, for example to install a security program in Linux, you have to install the compiler software. Before you install the compiler software, you need to install the source to create the executable file. Before you need to compile the executable file, you need to have the encryption software, and before you can install the encryption software, you need to have a proper library for the algorithm. Suffice to say you need to go through a lot of layers of installation before you're able to make a single program run.
